LUBRIZOL ELECTS OFFICERS

 CLEVELAND, Dec. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- The Lubrizol Corporation (NYSE: LZ) announced today that J. G. Bulger, S. A. Di Biase, J. E. Hodge, S. F. Kirk and Y. Le Coudic were elected vice presidents.
 Bulger, 58, was elected vice president-sales. He is a native of Toronto, Canada, and joined Lubrizol in 1967. He has served in various capacities at Lubrizol Canada and was named senior vice president-sales for Lubrizol Petroleum Chemicals Company in 1987. He received a B.S. degree in chemical engineering in 1960 from Queen's University.
 Dr. Di Biase, 41, was elected vice president-research and development. He is a native of Rochester, N.Y., and joined Lubrizol in 1978. He has served in several assignments in the research and development division. He was named director-strategic research in 1990. He received a B.S. degree in chemistry in 1974 from St. John Fisher College and a Ph.D. in chemistry in 1978 from Pennsylvania State University.
 Hodge, 51, was elected vice president-operations. He is a native of Burnet, Texas, and joined Lubrizol in 1971. He has served in various capacities at Lubrizol's Deer Park and Bayport, Texas, plants. He was named general manager-Houston plants in 1987. He received a B.S. degree in chemical engineering in 1971 from the University of Houston.
 Kirk, 44, was elected vice president-segment management. He is a native of Cleveland, and joined Lubrizol in 1972. He has served in several assignments in the sales division and was named senior vice president-marketing and technology for Lubrizol Petroleum Chemicals Company in 1991. He received a B.S. degree in chemical engineering in 1971 from Cornell University, an M.E. degree in chemical engineering in 1972 from Cornell University and an M.B.A. in 1978 from Cleveland State University.
 Le Coudic, 46, was elected vice president-management information systems. He is a native of Paris, France, and joined Lubrizol France in 1977. He served in several assignments in the MIS division before being transferred to the Hazelwood, England, facility as administration manager. He was named division head-research and development administration services in 1991.
