LTV NAMES ERIC EVANS AS SENIOR DIRECTOR OF INVESTOR RELATIONS

 CLEVELAND, June 17 /PRNewswire/ -- The LTV Corporation (NYSE: QLTV) today announced that Eric W. Evans has been named senior director of investor relations.
 Evans will serve as the company's primary liaison with shareholders, investment managers, securities analysts, and other members of the investment community. He will report to John C. Skurek, vice president and treasurer.
 "Eric's experience in the U.S., Canadian and international investment communities will support our efforts to serve the needs of our shareholders and the financial markets as LTV completes its reorganization and emerges as a new, public company," said Skurek.
 Evans joins LTV from Harrowston Corporation (formerly First City Financial Corporation, Ltd.), a Canadian-based investment, financial services and real estate development company, where he managed all investor relations and public reporting activities in the United States and Canada.
 Evans received a bachelor of arts degree from Queens University, Kingston, Ontario, and a master's degree from the University of Western Ontario.
 The LTV Corporation is a diversified manufacturing company. Its subsidiary companies include LTV Steel, the nation's third largest integrated steelmaker, and LTV Energy Products, a leading producer of oilfield components and supplies.
