LTV ANNOUNCES MANAGEMENT APPOINTMENTS

 CLEVELAND, Jan. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- LTV Steel today announced three senior management appointments at the company's Cleveland Works, Tin Mill Products and Tubular Products operations.
 James F. Haeck, 46, has been appointed vice president and general manager of LTV Steel's Cleveland Works. He will succeed John F. Bush who will be leaving the company.
 David L. Carroll, 51, currently vice president and general manager of LTV's Tin Mill Products division, will replace Jim Haeck as vice president and general manager of LTV's Tubular Products Company.
 Marvin C. Skoronski, 49, currently general manager of operations and maintenance for the Cleveland Works, has been promoted to the position of vice president and general manager-Tin Mill Products.
 "Jack Bush is completing a long and distinguished career with our company," said J. Peter Kelly, president and chief operating officer of LTV Steel.
 "Under Jack's capable leadership Cleveland Works has emerged as one of the world's highest quality integrated steel facilities," Kelly said. Kelly also said that Bush has agreed to remain with the company to insure a smooth transition.
 Kelly also stated that both Haeck and Carroll have extensive career experience with LTV Steel. Carroll began his career in 1964 as an industrial relations trainee and Haeck joined the company in 1968 as a financial management trainee. Kelly said that each has excelled in a number of challenging operating and staff positions, most recently as vice president and general manager of their respective units.
 Marvin Skoronski brings an extensive operating, quality control and metallurgical background to his new assignment as vice president and general manager-Tin Mill Products. He joined the company in 1969 as a metallurgical trainee at the Aliquippa Works and has served as assistant superintendent of the Aliquippa tin mill, superintendent of the No. 3 Sheet Mill-Indiana Harbor Works (East Chicago, Ind.), and division manager-direct roll, hot strip mill and finishing operations at the Cleveland Works.

The company also is a major producer of welded steel pipe and tubing and tin-plated steel for food and beverage containers.
