LOW-COST NETWORK FAX SOFTWARE FOR WINDOWS IS INTRODUCED

ALHAMBRA, Calif., July 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Pacific Image Communications Inc. has introduced Network SuperFax 5.1 for Windows, a product that provides Windows users with a low-cost way to utilize networked faxing. The product enables users to leverage their current investment in EIA Class I/II fax-modems and use them within networked environments. With a suggested retail price of just $199, Network SuperFax is the lowest-priced, Windows-based, network fax software available today.
"This product is an ideal solution for small workgroups that need to share a single fax-modem," states Glen Sugimoto, marketing manager at Pacific Image Communications. Network SuperFax 5.1 allows users to view, print, send, receive and edit faxes. In addition, users can access phone directories, receive private fax transmissions and send faxes from any computer on the network. "We're targeting Windows users who need a simple and inexpensive method for obtaining the benefits of network faxing," adds Sugimoto. These benefits include the ability to broadcast faxes, print received faxes on plain paper and avoid waiting in line to use the fax machine.
Workstation users of SuperFax 5.1 can fax directly out of any Windows application program such as Lotus 1-2-3, Microsoft Word or Aldus PageMaker. Outgoing faxes are placed in a systematic fax queue for efficient faxing. Users can also internally route received faxes to any workstation on the network. Depending on a company's operating policy, incoming faxes can be publicly accessed by all network users or routed to specific individuals.
Network SuperFax 5.1 is compatible with most popular network operating systems, including Netware, Lantastic and Windows for Workgroups. Pacific Image Communications is offering a 90-day promotional upgrade for $129 to users of any fax software product. Current owners of any SuperFax product can upgrade for $99, and additional workstation licenses can be purchased directly from Pacific Image Communications. Dealer inquiries are encouraged.
