LOW-COST GUIDE HELPS JOB SEEKER THROUGHOUT SEARCH, LISTS 1,400 JOB CLASSIFICATIONS

VALLEY STREAM, N.Y., Feb. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- There's help for anyone facing the task of job hunting in today's marketplace in the form of a book and materials from the Career Guidance Institute called "The Portfolio of Job Success."
Herbert Solomon, founder and operators of a number of successful businesses in the newspaper and advertising fields, turned the expertise learned in those fields to the development of a program outlined in the Portfolio ($19.95 plus handling, phone 1-800-444-2524, ext. 4).
"Despite the sluggish economy, people are still being hired and employers are still moving upward to the next level," Solomon says.
Solomon set out to provide in one portfolio, the essential information and training needed for a successful search. His portfolio contains a Career Guidance Handbook with copies of successful resume formats, job application letters, follow-up letters, two personal vocation analysis tests developed by renown business psychologists and a directory of 1400 job classifications.
The Portfolio helps the applicant decide in the job to seek, arrange for the interview, and specifically details who to see, what to say, and how to get the job, Solomon says.
"The Portfolio helps cut through the confusions of changing jobs or careers," Solomon says. "First, it helps the job seeker evaluate his or her strengths or weaknesses. Then tells how to emphasize the positives."
