LOVE TUG; I'm hooked on UK says Tristan.

Former Home And Away hunk Tristan Bancks has set up home in Britain - and unlike many soap stars from Down Under, he plans to stick around.

Tristan's career is soaring and the actor who played bad boy Tug in the smash telly series is proving a hit with the Brits too.

He's on CITV's Massive today and he'll be popping up on GMTV's Wake Up In The Wild Room soon.

He has devised and presented a behind-the-scenes documentary on Home And Away called Good Day Summer Bay and hosted the Mizz and Smash Hits Road Shows. And he's been brushing up his journalism skills by interviewing celebs such as Sandra Bullock and The Backstreet Boys.

"Doing Home And Away for two and half years was great," says 22-year- old Tristan. "But I prefer what I'm doing now. It's not like having a proper job. That's my main motivation in life - not to get a proper job."

When he's not "working" Tristan does sports like white water rafting, hang gliding, rollerblading and snowboarding. But don't hold your breath, girls - he's very much attached to long-term girlfriend Amber Melody.

All-action Bruce is game for Apocalypse

Movie action hero Bruce Willis will deliver justice in a new PlayStation shooter called Apocalypse.

Die Hard star Willis is being paid millions of dollars plus a share of the profits for his role as the player's partner in the Activision game.

Apocalypse, which will be released in late summer, is set in a violent future where players fight side-by-side with their virtual partner to defeat the Four Horsemen - Death, Plague, War and The Beast.

Games gurus will use cyber-scanning and motion capture techniques to create an entirely computer-generated version of Bruce Willis.

The star says: "When these cats from Activision showed me the new graphics and interaction of this software on Apocalypse I was blown away.

"There is nothing on the market like it. All other games will be come obselete."

A special Artificial Intelligence system is being built into the game, which allows the Willis character the same degree of freedom as the player's.

Twisted Metal World Tour (pounds 39.99 PlayStation)

THE original Twisted Metal was largely ignored in favour of the similar but better Destruction Derby.

Here it comes roaring back with more vehicles, bigger weapons, larger circuits and carnage galore.

The backdrops are more interesting and include Paris, Tokyo, Moscow and New York.

It is the same basic idea of racing round blasting away at opponents and causing mayhem, but the gameplay has been improved.
