LOUIS NELSEN RETAINED AS CONSULTANT TO EVERGREEN

MCLEAN, Va., Feb. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Evergreen Information Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: EVRG; PSE) today announced that Louis B. Nelsen has been retained as a consultant to Evergreen while Barry C. Nelsen, Evergreen's president, recuperates from surgery. Louis Nelsen will work closely with Jay Tallant, vice president of sales and marketing, and Martin Bell, chief financial officer, in the day- to-day management of Evergreen.
Louis Nelsen, who is Barry Nelsen's brother and co-founder of Evergreen, has extensive experience managing companies who sell government procurement and marketing information. From 1967 to 1979, Nelsen served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of Information Handling Services (IHS), a $100 million information systems company. From 1984 to 1986, Nelsen served as president of IMI, a division of Ziff-Davis Publishing Company. Most recently, Nelsen has been chief executive officer of Global Marketing, a consulting firm specializing in providing strategic planning and marketing support to firms doing business with the federal government.
The company continues to progress regarding the release of PowerTree, its on-line database containing nearly all the information required to buy for, make for or sell to the federal government. Evergreen does not expect significant delays due to Barry Nelsen's absence.
Barry Nelsen will return in approximately six weeks.
