LOUIS E. PARDI NAMED EXECUTIVE VICE-PRESIDENT OF MK'S POWER DIVISION
BOISE, Idaho, Jan. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Louis E. Pardi, a veteran of more than 20 years in the power construction industry, has joined Morrison Knudsen Corp. (MK) (NYSE: MRN) as executive vice-president of the company's Power Division, MK announced today.
Formerly vice-president and general manager of Fluor Daniel's Northeast Power Business Unit, Pardi will be responsible for MK's engineering and construction operations on coal, nuclear and other types of non-hydroelectric power plants. He is based in Cleveland.
"MK is well positioned to serve the power industry with nuclear and fossil plant services for operating generating stations, nuclear decommissioning, steam generator replacements and capacity additions that will be initiated during this decade," said Gunnar E. Sarsten, the company's president and chief operating officer. "Lou Pardi has the experience, expertise and obvious management skills to help ensure that we get an increasing share of this work."
Pardi spent 18 years with Daniel Construction Co., later Fluor Daniel, in engineering and executive positions. He began his career as an engineer on nuclear submarine construction projects for General Dynamics' Electric Boat Division.
He graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a degree in materials engineering and later earned an MBA from the University of Hartford.
Morrison Knudsen is an international company serving the environmental, industrial processing, power and transportation markets with complete development, design/engineering, construction, operating and financial services.
