The following cases were heard at Cardiff Magistrates' Court: | | Kane Johnson, 27, of Tresillian Way, Cardiff, admitted stealing three bottles of Jack Daniel's worth PS66 from Spar on Station Road. He also admitted breaching supervision requirements after being released from prison. He was jailed for 21 days and ordered to pay compensation of PS66. | Kenneth Price, 49, of Valley View, Trowbridge, admitted possessing amphetamine. He was fined PS180 and ordered to pay PS30 towards victim services, plus PS85 in costs.

| Robert Sheppard, 35, of The Walk, Cardiff, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour. He also admitted stealing a bike worth PS650 and failing to surrender to custody. A community order was made requiring him to complete 30 days of rehabilitation. He was fined PS50 and ordered to pay costs of PS85, plus compensation for the bike.

| Tom Glyn Woods, 24, of Scott Close, St Athan, admitted drinkdriving and driving without insurance. He was found to have 41mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. He also admitted failing to surrender to bail. The defendant was fined PS750 and disqualified from driving for a year, as well as being ordered to pay a PS75 victim surcharge and costs of PS85.
