LOOK: Nadine Samonte dedicates syringe-themed baby pictorial to victory over APAS.
Nadine Samonte celebrated her triumph over Antiphospholipid syndrome with a photo shoot of her babies surrounded by syringes, as per her Instagram post on Thursday, May 23.
According to the actress, the syringes serve as a reminder of her medical treatments when she was pregnant with firstborn Heather Sloane and then with her son Titus.
'If you are [going to] ask me, I will do it [the pregnancy] all over again,' Samonte said. 'These are the injections that I had when I [was] pregnant with both of them, I kept everything from my firstborn to my second.'
'Every needle is worth it para mabuhay sila (so they can live), look at God's blessings to us. I will forever be grateful, thank you for my beautiful children,' the actress added.
'Ang sarap dahil natapos din ako (It feels good because I finally hurdled it), there is always a rainbow after the rain.'

Antiphospholipid syndrome, also known as APAS or APS, is an autoimmune disorder where a person experiences a higher risk of blood clots. This is due to antibodies attacking the body's healthy tissues by mistake.
In exclusive interviews with Philippine Entertainment Portal in August 2016 and March 2019, Samonte revealed that she underwent multiple injections for the treatments, in both of her pregnancies. She also had to take 53 and 30 treatment tablets for Heather Sloane and Titus, respectively.
