LONG PRISON TERM FOR POST OFFICE ROBBERY
ANNANDALE, Va., May 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Postal inspectors today

announced the conviction of the two men responsible for committing the armed robbery of the Annandale Post Office last October. One of the men convicted included the postal clerk who worked at the same post office and had planned the robbery.
Jamie Rivera-Reyes, 21, formerly of Annandale, worked as a window clerk at the Annandale Post Office until the day of the robbery. He disclosed key financial operations information to Domingo Rosario Figueroa, also 21, who committed the robbery on Oct. 18, 1991. Figueroa beat one of the postal employees and locked all three employees in the walk-in vault during the robbery.
Both men have pleaded guilty to federal charges stemming from the robbery. Yesterday in a hearing before Judge Timothy S. Ellis III in Alexandria, Va., Figueroa, the gunman, was sentenced to 17 years and six months without parole and ordered to pay restitution to the Postal Service. Rivera-Reyes is scheduled to be sentenced on July 10.
