LOJACK TODAY ANNOUNCES AGREEMENT TO EXPAND ITS STOLEN VEHICLE RECOVERY SYSTEM INTO THE NATION'S CAPITAL AND OFFICIALLY ACTIVATES IN VIRGINIA

 Press Conference at 10:30 a.m. This Morning Will Demonstrate
 the System at Virginia State Police Headquarters in Fairfax
 WASHINGTON, Aug. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- LoJack, the proven-effective high-tech tracking system used for the recovery of stolen vehicles, announced today that it had completed an agreement with the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, D.C., to expand into the nation's capital by the end of the year. The announcement comes on the same day as LoJack officially activates its anti-theft system in neighboring Fairfax, Va.
 A press conference will be held this morning at 10:30 a.m. at the Virginia State Police headquarters on Braddock Road in Fairfax where details will be announced.
 LoJack has now installed more than 200,000 devices in seven other states, and almost 5,000 vehicles have been recovered. Police using LoJack are enjoying about a 95 percent recovery rate and around a 25 percent arrest rate, which is five times higher than the national average.
