LOJACK ANNOUNCES SIGNING OF AGREEMENT WITH CITY OF NEW YORK

 DEDHAM, Mass., Oct. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- LoJack Corporation (NASDAQ: LOJN; BSE: LOJ.B) announced today that it has signed an agreement with the city of New York to provide its patented LoJack Stolen Vehicle Recovery System to the five boroughs within the city. This system will be operated by the New York City Police Department as part of a New York State LoJack System.
 The agreement was signed today at a ceremony attended by New York Mayor David Dinkins and C. Michael Daley, LoJack's president, at the 43rd Precinct Station in the Bronx.
 In making the announcement, C. Michael Daley, president, said that the New York LoJack System will be operated as a part of a larger market which will include New Jersey and Connecticut.
 Mr. Daley further stated that the company has already undertaken preliminary work to interface its stolen vehicle recovery system with New York State's communications networks. He estimated that the New York System will by operational in late spring.
