 LOGIC MODELING EXPANDS CORPORATE STRUCTURE
MILPITAS, Calif., Nov. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Logic Modeling Systems

Inc., developer of the LM-family(TM) of industry-standard hardware modeling systems, today announced a corporate expansion to spearhead the company's growing global presence in the electronic design automation marketplace. The company has formed two new sales groups to give greater focus to International and North American OEM-based sales development and appointed three company managers to positions of greater responsibility to oversee the company's next phase of growth.
Steven D. White, 39, previously vice president of operations, has been promoted to senior vice president, a position in which he will oversee sales, service, finance, administration, and manufacturing for the company. White reports to Dr. L. Curtis Widdoes, Jr., president and chief executive officer. The sales organization previously reported to Widdoes. John Cadwallader, 44, previously the eastern regional sales manager, has been appointed managing director of the newly-formed international operations group, in charge of all sales and support responsibilities for the company's pan-European and pan- Asian operations. Cadwallader has been named a member of the board of directors of the company's European subsidiary, Logic Modeling Systems (U.K.), Ltd. Cadwallader has relocated to Logic Modeling's pan- European headquarters, in Feltham, England. Mark Goldman, 41, previously west coast regional sales manager, has been promoted to director of the newly formed North American sales group. In this position he will direct and expand the company's domestic sales operations. Cadwallader and Goldman report to White.
Widdoes stated, "This year, as Logic Modeling fulfills its promise to provide the industry standard in hardware modeling solutions, we also began planning our 1990s technological and strategic requirements. We realized that our future growth depended largely on the establishment of local pre- and post-sales and technical support for our OEMs as well as for our end-users."
Widdoes continued, "Currently, Asia and Europe account for approximately 30 percent of our revenues, complementing the great success we've already experienced in North America since shipments began in 1989. We expect that percentage to grow significantly over the next several years. Thus the need for Logic Modeling to form an executive-level sales organization whose groups operate worldwide and are charted to concentrate on developing and enhancing local sales and support. In this regard, I'm very happy to announce these three appointments today. Steve White, John Cadwallader, and Mark Goldman are all industry veterans whose contributions to Logic Modeling have been and will continue to be invaluable. They are the perfect group of executive managers to take our sales and support organization into its next phase."
Widdoes concluded, "This corporate expansion and set of promotions will allow me to focus on long-term technology and business strategy issues -- crucial to the company's success, as our core technology moves beyond its current application into new areas within electronic systems-level design verification. We are positioned for the next major stage of growth from both a sales and technology perspective."
White was part of the 1987 Logic Modeling startup team, leaving his previous post as a vice president At Valid Logic Systems Inc. He holds a bachelor of arts degree in management from Michigan State University.
Cadwallader joined the company in 1989 as a regional manager. Prior to his tenure at Logic Modeling, he held national account sales management roles at Apollo Computer Inc. and marketing and sales positions at Data General Corp. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in journalism from University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
Goldman previously was the company's U.S. west coast regional sales manager, joining Logic Modeling in February 1989 from Apollo Computer Inc. where he served as branch sales manager for the west coast. Goldman has also worked at Digital Equipment Corp. and Intel Corp., and earned his bachelor of arts in mathematics from American University in 1972.
