LOCKHEED APPOINTS ROBERT E. RULON VICE PRESIDENT AND CONTROLLER
 CALABASAS, Calif., Jan. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Lockheed Corp.'s (NYSE: LK) board of directors has elected Robert E. Rulon, 49, corporate vice president-controller.
 Rulon, previously corporate vice president-internal audit, succeeds Robert H. Northcutt Jr., 57, who is retiring after nearly 30 years with Lockheed to become a member of the Financial Accounting Standards Board.
 In related actions, Anne Woodyard, 46, corporate director-audit administration, was promoted to staff vice president-internal audit, succeeding Rulon, and Michael W. DeNeal, 51, corporate director- financial planning, was promoted to staff vice president-financial planning, a new position.
 Rulon joined Lockheed in 1981 as assistant director of accounting after 12 years with the public accounting firm of Ernst & Young. He was appointed director of internal audit in 1983, staff vice president- internal audit in 1986 and corporate vice president-internal audit in 1990.
 Rulon received a bachelor's degree in accounting from Ohio State University and a master's degree in accounting from the University of Minnesota.
 Northcutt joined Lockheed as a senior accountant in 1963 and was elected corporate vice president and controller in 1978. The Financial Accounting Standards Board establishes standards for financial accounting and reporting in the United States.
