LOCAL AUDIO MANUFACTURER TELEX BENEFITS FROM MALL OF AMERICA DEVELOPMENT
BLOOMINGTON, Minn., Aug. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- The Mall of America, located in Bloomington, Minn., is not just the largest shopping center in the world, it's also a gigantic entertainment complex consisting of several movie theaters; Gatlin Country, a 500-seat night club; and, of course, Camp Snoopy, the huge theme park with three of its own entertainment venues.
A local company, Telex Communications, Inc., which specializes in audio products for the entertainment industry, through two of their sound contactor clients, are supplying a lot of microphones, headsets and intercom systems for the mammoth project. Telex Assistive Listening systems, which allow the various auditoriums to comply with recent Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements have also been installed.
MTS Northwest Sound, Inc., of Edina, Minn., has the Camp Snoopy contract which actually consists of three separate auditorium/theaters. Each of the three Snoopy venues: The Ford Playhouse, The Wilderness Theatre and The Silver Stein Fest House is equipped with Telex wireless microphone systems, intercom systems and "Assistive Listening" systems.
Riverview Systems of San Jose, Calif., was awarded the contract for Gatlin Country, a night club associated with the Gatlin Brothers, a popular vocal group which has for years endorsed the Telex brand of wireless microphones. The vast Gatlin auditorium requires a great deal of communication gear to produce the top name shows it expects to draw. Telex Intercom systems were used exclusively. The system includes both wired in and wireless components with at least 16 Telex headsets located at various points throughout the room such as the backstage, dressing rooms, spotlights and control console.
Telex Communications, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of professional audio, audiovisual presentation, communication and hearing instrument products. It markets its products throughout the United States and in more than 60 countries, with offices in London, Singapore and Toronto.
