LIVING CENTERS OF AMERICA APPOINTS THREE NEW DIRECTORS

 HOUSTON, Nov. 30 ~PRNewswire~ -- Living Centers of America, Inc. (NYSE: LCA) announced today that it has expanded its board of directors with the election of three new members: Anthony M. Frank, Roger J. Bulger, M.D., and Eddy J. Rogers, Jr. This brings the total number of directors to nine.
 "The addition of these three distinguished professionals brings a depth of knowledge and experience to Living Centers that will greatly enhance our ability to manage for the future," said Living Centers of America Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Edward L. Kuntz.
 Anthony M. Frank was formerly Postmater General of the United States from February 1988 to March 1992. He is presently chairman of Acrogen, Inc., a biotechnology firm, and chairman of Independent BankCorp of Arizona, a commercial bank, and a director of Temple-Inland, Inc., The Charles Schwab Corporation, ICM Property Investors, Inc., General American Investors Company, Inc., and Adia Temporary Services. He was also formerly chairman and chief executive officer for the San Francisco based First Nationwide Bank. Frank received a Master's of Business Administration from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College.
 Roger J. Bulger, M.D., F.A.C.P., is the president of the Association of Academic Health Centers, Washington, D.C. He is also an adjunct professor of Public Health and Policy, Management and Policy Sciences at the University of Texas School of Public Health in Houston and is a clinical professor, Department of Medicine, at Georgetown University Medical Center, Washington, D.C. From 1978 - 1988, Dr. Bulger was the president of the Health Science Center at Houston, professor of Medicine and professor of Public Health at the University of Texas, Houston, Texas. Dr. Bulger is a graduate of Harvard Medical School with a Doctor of Medicine, did postgraduate work at Emmanuel College, Cambridge University, and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University.
 Eddy J. Rogers, Jr., is a partner in the Houston office of the law firm of Mayer, Brown & Platt. He is a graduate of Harvard Law School and Harvard College with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
 Living Centers of America, Inc. is the fourth largest provider of long-term health care in the United States. The Company operates 216 centers in nine states: Texas, Colorado, Florida, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Nebraska, Wyoming, Arizona and Mississippi. Of the 216 centers, 158 provide long-term health care and 58 are devoted to the care of the developmentally disabled.
