LIVING CENTERS OF AMERICA ANNOUNCES RESIGNATION OF PRESIDENT AND CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

 HOUSTON, Nov. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Living Centers of America, Inc. (NYSE: LCA), announced today that Robert G. Witham has resigned, effective as of Nov. 2, 1993, as President and Chief Operating Officer and a director of the Company. Living Centers has accepted Mr. Witham's resignation and will begin a diligent search for a successor for Mr. Witham's prior responsibilities. In the meantime, Edward L. Kuntz, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Living Centers, will assume such responsibilities.
 Living Centers of America, headquartered in Houston, is the fourth largest provider of long-term health care in the United States. It operates 242 centers with a capacity of 21,993 residents in 10 states: Texas, Colorado, Florida, Oklahoma, Alabama, Louisiana, Nebraska, Wyoming, Arizona and Mississippi.
