LITTLE CAESARS LOVE KITCHEN TO FEED 8,000 DES MOINES FLOOD VICTIMS

DETROIT, July 16 /PRNewswire/ -- In an effort to help the victims of flooding in Des Moines, Iowa, the Little Caesars Love Kitchen(R) expects to serve hot, fresh Little Caesars Pizza to more than 8,000 people in and around the city over the next several days.
The Love Kitchen, a pizza restaurant on wheels, will feed flood victims at various locations wherever the need is greatest in Des Moines and West Des Moines from Saturday, July 16 through Tuesday, July 20.
Locations for the servings will be determined on a daily basis by the Des Moines office of the American Red Cross. Information about the servings can be obtained each day by contacting the Red Cross at 515-225-4302.
All food and labor for these servings is being donated by the local Little Caesars franchisees Ron, Angela, and Randi Paporello, Lisa Ely and Little Caesar Enterprises, Inc., based in Detroit.
The Little Caesars Love Kitchen, inspired by Little Caesars Chairman of the Board Michael Ilitch, is a non-profit foundation consisting of two mobile pizza restaurants that travel across the U.S. and Canada providing nutritious meals to soup kitchens, or wherever needy people gather on a day-to-day basis. The units also provide disaster relief when possible.
The Love Kitchen also has provided relief to more than 70,000 people affected by both Hurricane Hugo, in Charleston, S.C., and more recently Hurricane Andrew in South Dade County, Fla.
Since the Love Kitchen program began eight years ago, more than 875,000 have been fed in 48 U.S. states and three Canadian provinces.
