LISA A. RICKARD ELECTED VICE PRESIDENT - FEDERAL AFFAIRS OF RYDER SYSTEM, INC.
MIAMI, Jan. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Lisa A. Rickard has been elected vice president--Federal Affairs of Ryder System, Inc. (NYSE: R), it was announced here today by R. Ray Goode, senior vice president--Public Affairs. In this role, Rickard will direct the activities of Ryder's Federal Affairs office in Washington, D.C. Prior to joining Ryder, Rickard spent 11 years with the Washington, D.C. law firm of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld where she was a partner. She held positions as a legislative assistant for U.S. Senator Frank Murkowski in 1981, a special assistant for U.S. Senator Richard Stone from 1978 to 1980 and a legislative assistant with the Bank of America in 1978. Rickard holds a juris doctor degree from the American University's Washington College of Law, Washington, D.C., and a bachelor of arts degree in government and French from Lafayette College in Easton, Pa.
