LINDEMER IS CHAIR OF NATIONAL AAA

 DEARBORN, Mich., April 30 /PRNewswire/ -- AAA Michigan Board Member Lawrence B. Lindemer was elected chairman of the 34-million-member American Automobile Association (AAA) at its annual meeting in Orlando, Fla.
 Lindemer has served on the National AAA board of directors since 1988. He replaces Roger S. Woolley, a member of the law firm of Woolley and Day in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif., and will serve as chairman for one year. Lindemer is a director and past chairman of the AAA Michigan Board of Directors, serving nearly 1.5 million members in Michigan.
 Lindemer, of counsel to the Lansing law firm of Foster, Swift, Collins and Smith, retired as senior vice president and general counsel of Consumers Power Co. in Jackson in September 1986. He was president of the University of Michigan Alumni Association from 1983-85 and served as a U-M regent from 1968-75. He resides in Stockbridge, Mich.
 The American Automobile Association is the largest motoring and travel organization in the world and AAA Michigan is the nation's third- largest auto club.
