LINDAU NAMES MARKETING AND PUBLIC RELATIONS DIRECTOR

 MINNEAPOLIS, March 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Minneapolis Grain Exchange President James Lindau today named Albert Maruggi as director of marketing and public relations for the exchange. Maruggi's experience includes television broadcasting positions in the Midwest and deputy director of public affairs for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. In the early eighties he was an anchor/reporter for KHGI in Kearney, Neb. and KQCD in Dickinson, N.D.
 Maruggi served as press secretary to Omaha Congressman Hal Daub. During the 1988 election cycle, Maruggi led the press operations for the Republican National Committee. He also served Secretary of Transportation Sam Skinner as director of media relations, heading the marketing team for the National Transportation Policy. Maruggi comes to the exchange from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission where he was director of public affairs.
 Maruggi is married to the former Elizabeth Culligan of St. Paul, Minn. and they have two children.
