 LIME ROCK TO UNVEIL 'SECRET' MAD MAGAZINE HOLOGRAM CARD:
 FAMOUS ARTIST TAPPED FOR PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN THEME
 PROVIDENCE, R.I., Sept. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- For 40 years, America has eagerly awaited Alfred E. Neuman's presidential election predictions. And for 40 years the "What, me worry?" kid has had a perfect record -- predicting with 100 percent accuracy every time! (Each year he has predicted there will be a presidential election, there's been one!)
 But this year, Alfred E. Neuman has gone for the brass ring (the whole enchilada). This year, a few weeks before the voting, Neuman will appear on a hologram trading card right alongside his predicted presidential winner! Will he go with the old guard or the new? For right now, only a few "insiders" at Lime Rock International know the answer. (And so do their wives, their kids, the neighbors, the PR guy who wrote the news release and 214 other people, half of them named after daytime TV stars.)
 The world will know on Oct. 15 -- that's when Lime Rock will reveal the secrecy-shrouded identity of the next president of the United States (according to you-know-who). Thirty-thousand special presidential campaign hologram cards will be randomly inserted into packages of MAD2 trading cards before they're shipped nationwide. The cards will hit retail stores just in time to beat the actual election results! And for the first time, everyone who wants one can get their hands on a special "gold" edition of the hologram card. Lime Rock is making a first-of- its-kind offer of one Alfred E. Neuman presidential hologram card in return for five empty wrappers from the first or second edition of MAD trading cards. The first 70,000 people who mail in the wrappers along with a small shipping fee, will get them.
 "This project was too big to give to just any artist," according to Lime Rock's Paul Carroll. "We needed to find someone tall enough to peek into a voting booth and find out what's really going on in there! That's why we hired James Warhola." Warhola is the nephew of "pop" art pioneer Andy Warhol and a nationally known artist in his own right.
 The MAD2 trading card set depicts selected MAD Magazine cover art from the past 40 years on the front of each card. Card backs include mini-posters, cartoons and gags including Spy vs. Spy, one of MAD's most popular cartoon series. In addition to the randomly inserted Warhola- designed hologram card (the first double-sized hologram card), the 55-card set also includes a number of Instant Winner cards which can be redeemed for uncut promo sheets, holographic stamped promo cards and the new Alfred E. Neuman hologram card.
 The first edition of MAD Magazine trading cards sold out quickly nationwide. This second edition is also a "limited edition" product. As with all Lime Rock cards, production figures are announced in advance. Once the initial press run is done, all negatives and plates are destroyed to guarantee limited availability. Lime Rock has found that collectors are more attracted to items they know will be limited in production.
 MAD2 trading cards will be shipped in late October and are expected to be available through retailers nationwide by the end of October.
