? Southport Strings, Gallimaufry Family Concert & Ceilidh - Anglican Cathedral (The Well), 6.15-7.15pm. A toe-tapping hour of folk music from the UK and Eastern Europe. Come and dance.

? The Florrie Story - Anglican Cathedral (Lady Chapel) 6.30-7.30pm. For LightNight enjoy Florrie-based dance groups Foot Loose and The Works Academy performing a beautiful interpretation of the fascinating Dingle venue's story.? Augmented Reality Dance Party - FACT, Arthouse Square, 4-11.30pm. New Media Artist Jeremy Bailey will create an outdoor augmented reality dance party for the public to revel in and explore their latent creativity.? Ioisis Pole & Aerial Performance - 5th Floor, Elevator, 27 Parliament Street, 6-1pm.

Ioisis is the longest established pole dancing school in the UK. Pop along and have a go in a safe professional environment.? Big Dance Schools Pledge - St George's Hall, 4-10pm. The Olympic torch arrives in the UK on May 18 and at 1pm young dancers throughout the world will share a unique moment in time, dancing together in unison as part of a world record attempt. Enjoy a later performance of this dance spectacular on LightNight.? Late Night Ceilidh - St George's Hall, 9.30-11pm. Open to everyone with toe-tapping Southport-based band Gallimaufry. Come along and dance yourself on into the night with traditional folk music from all over the UK.

? LightNight at the Black-E - Great George Street, 7-8.30pm. Chinese music and dance performances from 7-7.30pm, and a Chinese dance workshop from 7.30-8pm.
