LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD; NORTH EAST RURAL AWARDS 2019.

WINNER | STOKER FRATER TENANT farmer Stoker Frater runs an agricultural contracting business in partnership with his brother and son.

As well as running his businesses, Stoker has devoted much of his time over the last 13 years to fundraising for The Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI) - a welfare charity offering financial support to farming people in hardship of all ages. It provides both short-term and long-term support.

Stoker has been part of the Northumberland committee for 13 years and when he was also chairman of RABI he was instrumental in organising events, including many at his own farm and a ball at Alnwick Castle to raise vital funds for the charity.

The events Stoker has organised have raised a significant amount for RABI over the years. This in turn has brought financial support to many individuals in the farming community in their time of need.

His great enthusiasm has kept the committee motivated over the years and he won the North East Regional award in 2016 for special recognition of his work with RABI.
