LIFESTYLE FURNISHINGS PLANS TO MARKET ITS BRANDS VIA THE WEB.

HIGH POINT, N.C.-LifeStyle Furnishings International has unveiled a new Web strategy, powered by HomePortfolio.com, to market the brands of its operating companies to retailers and consumers.

LifeStyle will launch Web sites for Alexander Julian at Home, Beacon Hill Showrooms and Universal Furniture. The existing Drexel Heritage site will be upgraded. Those company Web sites will link to a newly designed corporate site, www.lifehome.com.

"The function of the corporate Web site is to position LFI's leading brands to the trade, potential retailers and consumers, and then facilitate easy links to and between our division Web sites," said Robert Stamper, vice president of marketing and business development for LifeStyle.

LifeStyle plans no direct sales of product on any of the Web sites, which are based on a dealer-referral model. Consumers who enter a zip code will be directed to the nearest authorized dealers.
