LIC posts 64 per cent growth.

MANAMA: Life Insurance Corporation International (LIC - International) yesterday held its 71st board meeting at the MUvenpick Hotel, Muharraq.

LIC chairman T S Vijayan, managing director Thomas Mathew, LIC International chief executive officer and managing director R Thamodharan, Intercol director Abdulrahman Ali Alwazzan and New India Assurance Company resident manager V Devanathan, along with Indian ambassador Mohan Kumar, were among those present on the occasion.

Officials said the company had registered a 64 per cent growth in its new business in Bahrain in 2010, with one policy, Fortune Builder New, alone collecting $7.12 million as premium.

Twelve company consultants, who performed exceptionally during the year, were also honoured on the occasion.
