LIBERTY TECHNOLOGIES, INC. ANNOUNCES RELEASE OF THREE NEW PRODUCTS

CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., July 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Liberty Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: LIBT), a leader in developing, manufacturing, selling and servicing diagnostic valve testing systems within the nuclear market, has released three new products -- Packing 'nForcer(TM), Motor Power Monitor(TM) and the Stem Torque Sensor(TM).
All three products have been developed for diagnosing incipient equipment failures to optimize predictive maintenance programs and overall plant efficiency.
Packing 'nForcer is a portable, diagnostic system for quickly, simply and accurately measuring packing force (friction force) on all types of rising stem valves, including motor, air, hydraulic and manually operated valves. Consisting of a small COMPAQ(R) computer mounted in a suitcase-type base, Packing 'nForcer eliminates reliance on the less accurate bolt torque approach. By using a fast, simple procedure, the Packing 'nForcer System streamlines the "post-maintenance process," thus reducing user exposure to hazardous environments.
Motor Power Monitor is a diagnostic system designed to reliably detect early stage mechanical and electrical problems in both motors and motor-driven machines. This portable system collects comprehensive, real-time information simply and non-intrusively at the motor or motor control center, reducing unnecessary down-time and optimizing use of maintenance personnel.
The Stem Torque Sensor is part of the VOTES(R) family and non- intrusively measures full stroke torque output on quarter turn valves. Simplifying on-line diagnostic testing, the Stem Torque Sensor easily clamps onto the valve stem and is then removed to test other valves.
"These three new products are integral components of Liberty's line of maintenance technologies," said R. Nim Evatt, president and chief executive officer. "While all three have been developed for use within the nuclear industry, each product has potential applications for a variety of predictive maintenance functions within a variety of process industries."
Liberty, founded in 1984, develops equipment based on proprietary technologies to detect incipient failures, degraded conditions and potential non-performance of valves, motors and turbines. VOTES(R), Liberty's Valve Operation Test & Evaluation System, is the leading system for testing motor operated valves in the U.S. nuclear power industry.
