LHWs protest against nonpayment of salaries.

Karachi -- Lady Health Workers (LHW) have protested against the nonpayment of salaries outside the Sindh Secretariat.

The gate leading to national museum has been closed. Road from National Museum to Arts Council has been closed for vehicular traffic. Security has been beefed up in the area.

Dialogue between lady health workers and Finance Secretary has remained inconclusive.

President All Pakistan Lady Health Workers Bushra Arian while addressing the workers said that an assurance has been given to release the salaries. She said until the salaries are posted into respective accounts of the staffers, the protest will continue. She said they will not become part of any polio campaign until and unless the salaries are released.
