LHC reserves verdict on dissolving LRCA interim committee.

LAHORE -- The Lahore High Court Friday reserved verdict on a petition against dissolving interim committee of Lahore Region Cricket Association (LRCA) by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Justice Muhammad Khalid Mehmood Khan was hearing the petition filed by Muhammad Shahid.

Earlier, the petitioner's counsel arguing before the court submitted that the court had ordered to hold the elections of Lahore Region Cricket Association but it was not implemented.

He said the interim committee had a very important role in elections and other matters and it could not be abolished till election but the PCB ordered to abolish the committee.

However, PCB's counsel Taffazul Rizvi submitted that the interim committee had no link with the elections, adding that it was PCB's right to form and abolish interim committees. He further said that the PCB decided to dissolve interim committees after it was noticed that the bodies were affecting PCB matters after crossing their domain.

The court after hearing the arguments reserved the verdict on petition.
