LHC dismisses appeal against reconduct of MDCAT.

LAHORE -- A Lahore High Court division bench on Wednesday dismissed, for being not maintainable, an Intra Court Appeal against step of holding of Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) 2017 again.

The division bench headed By Justice Ayesha A Malik heard the appeal filed by one Ahmad Hassan.

During the hearing, petitioner's counsel questioned step of cancelling MDCAT 2017 results by the authorities and submitted that instead of taking individual action against the culprits, the authorities annulled the results. He contended that it was an injustice to the students who appeared in the test. He further submitted that no steps had been taken to ensure transparency in the MDCAT scheduled to be held again on October 29. He pleaded with the court to stop holding of the test till arrangements were not made for ensuring transparency.

However, the bench dismissed the petition after holding that it was not maintainable.

It is pertinent to mention that University of Health Sciences cancelled MDCAT 2017 results held on August 20 after it was confirmed that the paper was leaked ahead of time. The test was being held again on October 29.
