LHC Multan bench allows Jamshed Dasti to contest by polls.

MULTAN, May 14, 2010 (Frontier Star): Lahore High Court (LHC) Multan Bench while rejecting all the petitions seeking disqualification of Jamshed Dasti has allowed him to contest by polls. One Nazir Javed, a voter from the constituency of Jamshed Dasti had filed application in LHC Multan bench taking the plea that Jamshed Dasti be not allowed to contest by polls as he was holding fake degree. Justice Tariq Javed took up the case for hearing. He heard the stances of both the sides and delivered verdict that the application had been filed by a voter who was not entitled to do so. If any objection was to be raised , a case should have been filed in election commission but it was not done so, he remarked. Declaring the petition non-maintainable, Justice Tariq Javed dismissed it and allowed Jamshed Dasti to contest by elections.
