LHC Bar stands against formation of new benches.
LAHORE -- The Lahore High Court Bar Association has rejected resolutions of the Punjab Assembly regarding the formation of new regional benches of High Court.The meeting of Lahore High Court Bar held here on Tuesday and President Abid Saqi, of Lahore High Court Bar presided over the meeting.
The Bar association decided to consult the apex court regarding establishment of new benches and rejected the division of High Court.
President of High Court Bar Association, Abid Saqi said that administration would become superior over judges by the inauguration of new benches, "High Court is our mother and its division will not be accepted," he added.
He said that the Chief Justice should stand with lawyers against the establishment of regional benches of the High Court.
