LG.Philips LCD Announces Executive Nominations for 2007.

SEOUL, South Korea -- LG.Philips LCD (NYSE:LPL) (KRX:034220), a leading innovator of thin-film transistor liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) technology, announced today that its Board of Directors has approved nomination of Young Soo Kwon, currently President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of LG Electronics, as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of LG.Philips LCD at the next Annual General Meeting.

Other executive nominations included the appointment of Jong Sik Kim, Executive Vice President, to Chief Production Officer (CPO) of the company and the appointment of In Jae Chung, Executive Vice President, to Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

Hyun He Ha, Vice President and Head of the Small & Medium Displays Business Unit, will be promoted to Executive Vice President.

These new executive nominations are focused on solidifying the company's reorganization into a business unit-based structure through clarifying the responsibilities and authority of each of the business units as well as establishing an organization that can proactively respond to customer needs and changes in the business environment. In addition, the nominations are aimed at securing profitability through strengthening LG.Philips LCD's global business capabilities.
