LG Dead Sea Ultra Marathon kicks off Friday.

Amman, April 11 (Petra) - Organized by the Run Jordan, the 25th LG Dead Sea Ultra Marathon 2019, will kick off Friday morning, with the aim of promoting tourism and athleticism in Jordan . The Marathon, which brings together local and international runners, is made up of different segments, including the 50km single ultra marathon, 50km relay races, 21km half marathon and the 10km race. This year, the LG Dead Sea Ultra Marathon and "One World Marathon", which is organized by the US non-profit One World Strong Foundation, will take place simultaneously to highlight the role that Jordan and sports play in fighting terrorism and extremism. The organizing committee determined the course of the race, and announced closure of some roads in the Dead Sea until the end of the race. Dead Sea Marathon is an annual race that attracts thousands of runners and enthusiasts from all parts of the world, including some of the well-known marathon runners. The number of participants continues to grow each year. The race aspires athletic cooperation between different Middle Eastern countries and the world. Some of the other objectives of the Marathon are to encourage everyone to adopt a healthy lifestyle and give the Jordanians a platform to volunteer for an important cause. //Petra// RZ 11/04/2019 12:35:02
