LEXUS REPORTS 1.6 PERCENT SALES DECLINE IN JULY

 TORRANCE, Calif., Aug. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Lexus sales were down 1.6 percent in July compared to year-ago levels, according to sales figures released today by the luxury division of Toyota Motor Sales.
 The ES 300 was the top seller for the division with sales of 2,664. Sales for the LS 400 were 1,856 while 1,477 GS 300s were sold. Sport coupe sales were 954 for the SC 400 and 584 for the SC 300.
 On a year-to-date basis, Lexus sales of 53,535 are running 4.7 percent ahead of last year.
