 LEXINGTON EXECUTIVE HEADS NC BANKERS ASSOCIATION
 RALEIGH, N.C., June 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Robert F. Lowe, chairman,


president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Lexington State Bank, was elected president of the North Carolina Bankers Association (NCBA) during the group's annual convention May 28-31 at Hilton Head.
 Lowe succeeds J. Richard Futrell Jr., chairman and CEO of Centura Banks, Inc., Rocky Mount.
 Kelly S. King, president of Branch Banking & Trust Co. in Raleigh, succeeds Lowe as NCBA president-elect.
 The new vice president of the organization is James B. Hyler Jr., president of First Citizens Bank in Raleigh; and the new NCBA treasurer is John H. Ketner Jr., president and CEO of the Bank of Mecklenburg in Charlotte.
 The association also re-elected the following staff officers at NCBA headquarters in Raleigh: A.D. (Al) Fuqua Jr., executive vice president; Dianne L. Williams, vice president-administration; and Edmund D. Aycock, vice president and general counsel.
 Futrell will remain on the NCBA board of directors along with Lowe, King, Hyler, Ketner and Fuqua. Other members of the 1992-1993 board of directors follow:

 Leonard N. Hedgepeth, president and CEO, United National Bank Fayetteville; Kevin T. Kennelly, president and CEO, Park Meridian Bank, Charlotte; Ayden R. Lee Jr., president and CEO, Four Oaks Bank and Trust Co.; J. Edgar McFarland, senior vice president, Wachovia Bank of North Carolina, N.A., Winston-Salem; L. Glenn Orr Jr., chairman, president and CEO, Southern National Corp., Lumberton;
 Michael S. Patterson, president and CEO, Triangle Bank and Trust Co., Raleigh; K. Reid Pollard, president and CEO, Randolph Bank and Trust Co., Asheboro; E. Rhone Sasser, chairman, president and CEO, United Carolina Bank, Whiteville; John C. Wallace, chairman and CEO, First Bank, Troy; and Sidney R. Warner, executive vice president, NationsBank, Greenville.
 The North Carolina Bankers Association was charted in 1897 and represents 78 of the 81 commercially chartered banks domiciled in the state. Member banks of the NCBA hold 99.7 percent of all assets held by commercial banks in North Carolina.
