 LEON E. FORMANCZYK NAMED DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES
 FOR CHESAPEAKE PACKAGING
 RICHMOND, Va., Aug. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Samuel J. Taylor, president, Chesapeake Packaging Co., announced that Leon E. Formanczyk has been appointed director of human resources effective August 31, 1992. In this position, he will report directly to Taylor and be responsible for the human resources function of the company.
 "Leon's appointment will strengthen our company's ability to meet the human resources challenges of the 1990s," said Taylor.
 Formanczyk was manager-employee relations and administration for Chesapeake Corporation in Richmond. Before joining the corporate staff in December 1987, he was director of human resources at Plainwell Paper Co., located in Plainwell, Mich., which was formerly a wholly owned subsidiary of Chesapeake Corporation.
 Chesapeake Packaging Co., located in Richmond, Va., is a wholly owned subsidiary of Chesapeake Corporation (NYSE: CSK), an integrated paper and forest products company. Chesapeake's primary businesses include tissue and kraft paper products and packaging.
