LEIGH C. WOOD TO BECOME CEO OF OHIO/MICHIGAN JOINT VENTURE; BARCLAY KNAPP TO RELOCATE TO CELLULAR COMMUNICATIONS INC.'S NEW YORK OFFICES

 NEW YORK, April 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Cellular Communications, Inc. ("CCI") (NASDAQ and MIDWEST: COMMA) announced today that effective Friday, April 23, 1993, Leigh C. Wood, CCI's vice president-operations, would become chief executive officer of the Ohio/Michigan joint venture that is owned in equal shares by CCI and PacTel Corporation. CCI announced that J. Barclay Knapp, current chief executive officer of the joint venture and CCI's executive vice president and chief operating officer would be relocating to New York. Mr. Knapp will continue as one of CCI's two representative on the four member joint venture partnership committee.
 In announcing his return to the New York office, Mr. Knapp said that in addition to his responsibilities as chief operating officer of CCI he was returning to New York to focus his attention on CCI's corporate activities and to help lead the efforts of a newly formed venture, International CableTel, Inc., in the development of a cable and television business in the United Kingdom. International Cable, Inc. is a newly formed 62 percent subsidiary of OCOM Corporation, a company that was distributed to the shareholders of CCI in July 1991.
