LEFT IN THE LURCH; Animal rescue charity appeals for loving homes for these dogs.

A FLINTSHIRE animal rescue is desperately appealing for people to consider giving one of these lurchers a loving home.

North Clwyd Animal Rescue in Trelogan has seen a recent influx of the breed with nine currently in need of an owner.

Volunteer Debbie Jones said: "We've got an awful lot of lurchers as well as black kittens at the moment. There's no particular reason for it, it's just one of those unfortunate things."

One of the dogs is called Mitzy who is described as a "very friendly and bouncy" 11 month-old lurcher in need of a home where she can play with other dogs.

Bowie arrived at NCAR as a stray who has an old injury to his front paw which means he's restricted from going on longer walks for the time g being.

bLi Louie is a fun-loving 10 month-old Lurcher whose favourite thing to do is play with other dogs, which is also "bouncy" Boris' favourite past time.

i " Bianca is one year old and described as a "playful girl" in need of a home with boundaries and someone who can carry on her training.

as wca Tom and Jerry are "shy" one year-old males who need a home together where they will get long walks.

ey Rocket is another one year-old Lurcher who loves to run and sleep, while young female Peggy requires an active family who can provide lots of walks and training.
