LEEDY TO LEAVE TEKTRONIX; KARALIS TO MANAGE LEGAL AFFAIRS

 WILSONVILLE, Ore., Feb. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Tektronix Inc. (NYSE: TEK) announced today that Allan Leedy, vice president, secretary and general counsel will leave the company to return to private law practice.
 "Allan has made important contributions to Tektronix over the years, and we wish him the best," noted Jerome J. Meyer, Tektronix' chief executive officer.
 Leedy has been with Tektronix since 1976, when he joined the company as assistant secretary and international counsel, and has served as general counsel since 1981.
 John P. Karalis, vice president Corporate Development, will assume management responsibility for Tektronix' legal affairs, along with his current responsibilities for acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate communications and real estate. Karalis, who joined Tektronix in 1992, previously served as senior vice president and general counsel for Sperry Corp. and as vice president and general counsel of Apple Computer Inc.
 Tektronix is a leading manufacturer of electronics products and systems in the areas of test and measurement, computer graphics and communications. Revenues in fiscal 1992 totaled $1.3 billion.
