LEEDMARK WILL GIVE CUSTOMERS A FREE THANKSGIVING TURKEY WITH EACH
 PURCHASE OF A COOKED HAM
GLEN BURNIE, Md., Nov. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Leedmark officials announced today they will give every customer a free 16-20 pound frozen Wampler Longacre Thanksgiving turkey with each purchase of a Mash's whole cooked boneless ham.
The Mash's hams will retail for only $1.98 a pound and weigh 14-15 pounds. Customers who would like the "Grade A" self-basting Longacre turkey without buying a Mash's ham will pay only 48 cents a pound for any size Wampler turkey.
Company spokesperson Edward Segal said the offer is effective Saturday, Nov. 14, and will continue while supplies last. Although there is no limit to the number of hams that customers can buy, Segal said the store reserves the right to limit purchases depending on the supply of hams and turkeys.
Customers can select their Mash's hams in Leedmark's meat department, and pick up their Wampler Longacre turkeys in the store's frozen food section.
Segal said Leedmark expects to sell an estimated 175,000 pounds of the Mash's hams, and sell or give away an estimated 800,000 pounds of the Wampler Longacre turkeys.
Leedmark will also sell other name brands of frozen turkey for 77- to 98-cents a pound depending on the brand. No reservations will be necessary to buy these turkeys.
In addition, the store will offer customers a complete fully cooked heat-and-serve turkey dinner that can feed 15 people for $27.88. The dinners, which will include all of the fixings and a pumpkin pie dessert, must be reserved 24-hours in advance by calling 410-787-0226, extension 477. Customers can pick up the dinners at the deli department of the store.
In 1991, Leedmark sold an estimated 1 million pounds of frozen turkeys at 28 cents a pound during a special 12-day Thanksgiving holiday event.
Leedmark is located at 6721 Chesapeake Center Drive in Glen Burnie, east of the intersection of Ordnance Road and Gov. Ritchie Highway.
