 LEEAM LOWIN ELECTED TO AEL BOARD
 LANSDALE, Pa., July 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Leeam Lowin, financial and


business consultant and private investor, has been elected to the board of directors of AEL Industries, Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: AELNA).
 He fills a vacancy created by the retirement of Donald H. Miller Jr.
 Lowin, 46, has had a distinguished business career over a span of 26 years including the founding, financing and managing of companies in such areas as medical electronics and data communications. Lowin's expertise lies in the area of corporate turnarounds and undervalued equity markets. He brings an extensive background in both the public and private sectors and is expected to contribute significantly toward AEL's ongoing efforts for growth and increased shareholder value.
 Lowin has been a guest lecturer at the Rand Corporation and lectured for the U.S. Army Operations Research Command. He and his wife Maida reside in Greenwich, Conn., with their four children.
 AEL is a leading supplier of electronic defense systems and subsystems. The company designs and manufactures sophisticated countermeasures, simulation and radar warning receiver systems; installs and integrates electronic and avionic equipment in military aircraft and provides state-of-the-art antenna, microwave and integrated circuit components.
