STEPHEN LEE last night accused snooker chiefs of "lies" and "dirty tricks" as he launched an appeal against his 12-year ban for match fixing.

st The 38-year-old (right) was hit with the record ban and ordered to pay PS40,000 legal costs at a tribunal last month, where he represented himself.

o t But former world No.5 Lee has now employed new lawyers to contest the verdict and said: "The case against me is all complete lies.

co "They've got no evidence. It's as simple as that. It's very hard to take. I was expecting dirty tricks and that's what we've got."

t d h " He claimed his new lawyers will "start making some big holes" in the case against him.
