LEADING MANAGED HEALTH CARE EXPERT FINALIZES AFFILIATION WITH THE WYATT COMPANY

MINNEAPOLIS, Jan. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Paul R. Wernick, a leading managed health care expert, recently finalized an affiliation with the Minneapolis office of The Wyatt Company, an international human resources consulting firm.
Wernick's expertise includes helping human resource personnel determine the most appropriate form of managed health care for their companies and select managed care vendors. He also advises hospitals and physicians forming Physician-Hospital Organizations.
"This affiliation combines The Wyatt Company's consulting strength with Dr. Wernick's managed care expertise. As state and national health care reform emerges, Wyatt is well-prepared to assist clients in proactively managing complex changes," said Rick Wald, group and health care practice leader in Wyatt's Minneapolis office.
Prior to becoming an independent consultant, Wernick was a principal in the Minneapolis office of William M. Mercer, Incorporated. He was Mercer's lead clinical resource in the Midwest. Before joining Mercer, Wernick served as vice president of health services and national medical director for United HealthCare Corporation. He practiced pediatrics for 13 years before focusing exclusively on managed care consulting.
Wernick is a board certified pediatrician and a graduate of the University of Minnesota, where he also worked as an assistant professor of pediatrics.
An international consulting firm headquartered in Washington, D.C., The Wyatt Company helps organizations succeed through the management of their people and their risks. Wyatt has 3,400 associates in 70 cities worldwide. The firm is a privately held corporation owned by its active employees.
