LCI INTERNATIONAL PROMOTES HANNO TO SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES

DUBLIN, Ohio, July 22 /PRNewswire/ -- LCI International today announced the promotion of Marshall Hanno to senior vice president of sales. He had been vice president of sales since joining the worldwide telecommunications company in 1991.
Hanno is responsible for LCI's entire sales organization which has offices in more than 30 major cities in the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic states.
He has nearly 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry and joined LCI after an eight-year career with MCI Communications Corporation where he was vice president of general business sales with MCI's Midwest Division headquartered in Chicago. Prior to joining MCI he was vice president of sales and marketing for Allnet in Chicago.
 H. Brian Thompson, chairman of LCI International, said in announcing Hanno's promotion, "As a result of LCI's growth, the addition of the new Mid-Atlantic, New York, and Iowa expansions, and in anticipation of our planned further growth, we believe the sales responsibilities in the company now warrant the additional stature of a senior vice president and Marshall very well fills that role."
