LASER MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY, INC. ENTERS LEASE PROGRAM AGREEMENT
 WITH AT&T CAPITAL CORPORATION
SAN CLEMENTE, Calif., Nov. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Laser Medical Technology, Inc. (OTC: LMET), today announced that it has entered into a lease program agreement with AT&T Capital Corporation, the finance division of AT&T, under which AT&T will finance purchases of the company's dental lasers, the Laser 6, the Laser 12 and the Laser 35. The new lease program features a two-hour turnaround for loan approval, and in most cases the dentist does not need to supply backup documentation such as tax returns or bank statements.
Since most U.S. purchases of the company's lasers are financed under a lease, the new program has dramatically simplified and shortened the sales process for the company's lasers. "The new program is already having a favorable impact on sales," according to Philippe Levy, vice president, sales and marketing.
Laser Medical Technology manufactures and markets advanced dental laser products. The company has received U.S. and foreign patents which cover the use of a cooling medium (such as water) on human tissue during the application of a laser beam. The cooling medium not only prevents thermal damage, but causes a photo acoustic effect which aids the removal of tissue. As a result of the use of a cooling medium, the company's lasers are uniquely capable of cutting mineralized hard dental tissue without killing the tooth. The Laser-35 received FDA authorization to market for soft tissue applications in May 1991. On March 30, 1992, the company announced that its Investigational Device Exemption application for apicoectomy (cutting of the tooth root) was accepted by the FDA.
