Leonard Slazinski

"There have been amazing changes in the science of cosmetic surgery," says Dr. Leonard Slazinski of Laser Image Center for Cosmetic Enhancement. "Surgery that was once only a dream has become a reality. Things we thought impossible are now everyday miracles.

"Laser skin resurfacing procedures have been available since 1994," continues Slazinski. "The most recent Erbium laser technology is extraordinary, offering a gentler approach that heals more quickly since it does not burn the skin but vaporizes it with less heat, which causes only minor pain. The surgeon can make precise changes while minimizing undesirable effects. Most of my patients will recover in just 10 to 14 days."

Another exciting technological breakthrough is the Photoderm/Vasculight Plus System(r). This system uses light energy to remove broken veins, capillaries, unwanted hair from the face or spider veins from the legs without bleeding or injections. Unwanted hair can be easily removed from any area of the body, including underarms, bikini lines, chest and back. Pigmented lesions such as age spots and birthmarks can be easily removed.

Laser Image's cosmetic services also include the removal of facial veins and blemishes, varicose vein removal, skin resurfacing, wrinkle removal and expert dermatological skin care. Dr. Slazinski has a ream of skin professionals, including CaSondra Soto, PA-C. She is a certified physician assistant with extensive training in dermatology, surgery and general medicine. Another team member is Tammy Van Brandt, R.N., who has had years of experience in vein treatment. She is a certified Photoderm/Vasculight(r) specialist and a member of the Society of Vascular Nurses.

Dr. Slazinski opened his dermatology practice in Sarasota more than 18 years ago and has been dedicated to providing the best in dermatology services. Services include dermatologic surgery, skin cancer surgery and acne care. For the past two years he has expanded his services by establishing the Laser Imaging Center for Cosmetic Enhancement to provide the latest discoveries in skin care and cosmetic procedures to reverse the signs of aging.

"We are 100 percent focused on the skin," says Dr. Slazinski. "We understand the structure, function and metabolism of the skin, and therefore can avoid many problems and complications that could arise."

Dr. Slazinski keeps abreast of advances and new techniques in dermatology and cosmetic surgery by attending regional and national meetings. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.
