LAS VEGAS ENTERTAINMENT NETWORK COMMENCES PRODUCTION ON ADDITIONAL 'LAS VEGAS TONIGHT' SHOWS

MARINA DEL REY, Calif., March 15 /PRNewswire/ -- The Las Vegas Entertainment Network (NASDAQ: LVEN) announced today that it will begin producing entertainment segments for inclusion in 18 additional hour long programs which have been bought by JEMPSA Media and Entertainment of Buenos Aires, Argentina, one of Latin America's largest media and entertainment companies, for distribution to television audiences in Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking parts of the world.
"Las Vegas Tonight," a fast-paced magazine style program featuring the incomparable entertainment and entertainers of Las Vegas, debuted to a European audience last New Year's Eve via the prestigious broadcast channel, France 3. Guest stars appearing in LVT's New Years Eve gala premiere program included Liza Minella, Tina Turner, Paul Anka, Debbie Reynolds, Siegfried and Roy, and Alabama. The holiday premiere show was the first of a series of LVT programs bought by the French network for broadcast over the next several months via France 3 to french-speaking Europe.
In order to fulfill JEMPSA's recent order for programming LVEN expects to resume production on location in and around Las Vegas capturing highlights from the multi-million dollars production shows, giving behind-the-scenes glimpses of the featured performers, and showcasing the unique offerings and ambiance of the world's most glamorous and famous gaming palaces.
The "Las Vegas Tonight" dance troupe, which is featured in each LVT program, is returning to colorful downtown and Las Vegas "Strip" locations to tape another series of exciting original dance numbers for incorporation in the expended series.
Scheduled to appear in the 18 one-hour programs, which will be fully customized for the Spanish and Portuguese-speaking markets, will be Elton John, Dean Martin, Shirley MacLaine, Debbie Gibson, Prince, Randy Travis, Donna Summer, Al Jarreau, Bill Medley, and Johnny Mathis, among many others. Highlights from the Stardust's award winning show, "Enter the Night," the Flamingo Hilton's long-running success, "City Lights," non-stop action from "King Arthur's Tournament" and "World of Horses" from Excaliber, the Riviera's wet and wild "Splash" show, "Legends in Concert" from the Imperial Palace, Lance Burton's slick and sexy magical production at the Hacienda, Bally's incredible "Jubilee" stage show, and Siegfried and Roy's magical extravaganza at the Mirage, will also be featured.
In addition to producing for international distribution television programming that showcases events centered in Las Vegas, Reno and Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas Entertainment Network is currently developing a travel and resort destination subsidiary. The company reported that it has completed the first phase of a financing project and due diligence requirements which may allow for the closing of the company's first hotel/casino acquisition and/or other business opportunities. According to the company's Co-Chairman, Byron Lasky: "Further details will be disclosed when all requirements of the Nevada gaming authorities have been complied with and final due diligence has been completed."
