LARSON-DAVIS ANNOUNCES PARTICIPATION IN TWO CONTRACTS PROVO, Utah, Nov. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Larson-Davis Inc.
(NASDAQ: LDII) announced today their participation in two major contracts.
Larson-Davis has been selected as the principal supplier of equipment for the $1,000,000 Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport noise monitoring system. "We have received a purchase order for over $500,000 for our portion of the noise monitoring system being installed," remarked Brian G. Larson, president of Larson-Davis. The balance of the contract will be divided between the prime contractor, local construction companies and third party computer providers. The EPA of Taiwan, which had previously purchased $380,000 of Larson-Davis equipment to evaluate an on-going program for mandated vehicle noise certification, has now placed an order for approximately $410,000 of additional equipment for phase two of the evaluation program. The potential for follow-on sales to both government and private buyers is significant. Larson commented, "We are excited about recent developments in the marketing and sales efforts of the company. With these and other orders, Larson-Davis has a current backlog in excess of $2,000,000, the highest level in the history of the company." -0- 11/1/91 /CONTACT: Brian G.
